Dirty condenser coil or restricted coil?

A condenser can look like it only needs a quick rinse, but the problem may be deeper inside the coil where airflow and heat rejection are being choked down.

Why the coil matters

The outdoor coil has to move heat out of the refrigerant circuit. When airflow is restricted by dirt, grass, cottonwood, or packed debris, the AC can run hotter and cool worse.

A surface spray does not always reach the restriction. Some coils need better access before the cleaning is useful.

What Scott looks for

Scott checks the visible coil condition, airflow clues, system readings, and whether the cleaning needed is still part of a tune-up or needs a separate price before more work happens.
