Service Call & Diagnostic
System not responding? Start with a $95 Springfield Diagnostic.
A service call and diagnostic is the right starting point when the system is not cooling, not heating, freezing, leaking water, tripping breakers, making noise, or not responding.
When to use this
Start here when the system needs an answer before a repair price.
Confirm the service address
Diagnostic pricing is based on location and travel time. Springfield visits are $95, Nixa visits are $145, and ordinary travel more than 30 minutes away is $190. Branson or unusual travel requires Scott approval.
Tell Scott what changed
Send the address, city, thermostat setting, what the indoor and outdoor units are doing, and when the issue started.
The visit narrows the cause
Scott checks whether the system is being asked to cool, what the indoor and outdoor units are doing, airflow, coil condition, electrical basics, drain safety, and thermostat behavior.
Repair talk comes after the check
Once the issue is confirmed, Scott can explain what repair makes sense and what it costs before the work moves forward.
Useful clues
These details make the first conversation more useful.
- Thermostat setting, indoor temperature, and whether the display is on
- Whether the indoor blower runs when the system calls for cooling
- Whether the outdoor unit starts, hums, clicks, or stays off
- When the cooling changed and whether water, ice, or odd noise showed up
If the AC is running normally and you only want the outdoor unit cleaned, tested, and checked, start with the outdoor AC tune-up instead.
Technician proficiency
Electrical testing can rule out a guess before a repair is priced.
Scott uses insulation-resistance and other electrical checks when the symptom and equipment call for them. This authentic photo shows general technician proficiency; it is not presented as a Civive Air Services customer job, customer result, or location-specific service call.

Booking and payment
Request the visit first. Payment is due after the diagnostic.
$95 in Springfield, $145 in Nixa, or $190 for ordinary travel more than 30 minutes away. Branson or unusual travel requires Scott approval. Rural roads or difficult access require Scott's approval before the fee or appointment is confirmed. The diagnostic fee is due when the diagnostic is completed. If you approve a repair that can be completed during the visit, the diagnostic fee and repair charges will be collected together. Special-order or nonreturnable parts require written approval and payment before the order is placed.
